capital hostel de ciudad exceeded my expectations once again during my recent stay in san jose. the staff was incredibly kind and the hostel was exceptionally clean and well-furnished. i felt safe and at ease throughout my romantic stay.

Limited privacy in the dorms.

The value for money at this hostel was excellent, and the room was clean and nicely decorated. The location in La Sabana felt safe, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The only thing that could make the breakfast option better is if there was hot water in the sink for washing dishes.

The hostel had a quiet atmosphere, especially at night, which was perfect for someone like me who enjoys peace and tranquility. Additionally, there were great local restaurants within an 8-minute walk, like Las Tres Hermanas Hidalgo. The showers had excellent water pressure and always provided hot water. Plus, if there were ever any issues with the shower, all I had to do was inform the front desk, and they would promptly fix it.

I recently stayed at this hostel in San Jose for a couple of nights. The hostel is very new, well furnished, and exceptionally clean. It may be located a bit outside the city center, but it is easily accessible by public bus, which stops just 50 meters away. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful in organizing my stay. The Wi-Fi worked well throughout the hostel, and the beds were comfortable with plenty of shelves and sockets. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. I highly recommend this hostel!

The dorm rooms were located in the common areas, which meant that noise could be heard from other guests using the common spaces. The hostel was not centrally located, which could be a downside for those wanting to be closer to attractions or the city center.

The location of the hostel was a bit far from the airport, which could result in longer travel times, particularly during rush hour. The staff and some of the guests were occasionally noisy, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep or rest during the day.

Noisy sleeping area.

We had an amazing stay at this hostel! The staff were really friendly and helpful. The design of the hostel is fab - the rooms are spacious and there are beautiful chill out/open air spaces. We felt very safe during our stay. The location is convenient, with a restaurant and supermarket nearby. The hostel is clean and modern, with a nice garden. The breakfast was included and we loved the 24/7 free self-service Costa Rican coffee that they offer, it was delicious! We also appreciated the fact that they offer tours and it's better and cheaper to book them directly with the hostel.
